Madara came to see Naruto. Without pleasantries Naruto fires a Rasengan. Yamato and Kakashi appear out of nowhere. Madara seemed to have been captured. Well, Madara doesn't get captured and anyway he did not come to Naruto to fight. He just wants to talk.

Madara wants to know what Naruto discussed with Nagato to made Pain turn into traitor to Madara Uchiha. In other words, what made Pain change his mind, revive all he killed and sacrificed all he believed in for Naruto and his beliefs?
Naruto refused to answer but instead he asked about Sasuke. Madara replies: "...man, whose hatred of the ninja world runs through his bones to his very core." and continues to tell a story of Sasuke beginning with Itachi.

Five Kage Summit has in last episode of Naruto Shippuden 201 been interrupted with Madara's clone Zetsu appearance. Now Lord Raikage from Land of Cloud interrogates Zetsu trying to find out Sasuke's whereabouts. Raikage loses it and snaps Zetsu's neck. Lady fifth Kazekage says he should have tortured him first so they can find out where Akatsuki is, but Gaara disagrees. Akatsuki members are too loyal to speak. Mifune orders Number 2 battle-ready state alert and asks that they find Sasuke. One eyed Mist, who revealed Danzo's plan to temper with minds of all at the Summit, was asked to watch the Hokage. Hokage ocular jutsu has to be kept in check. Danzo was again reminded that ninjutsu was prohibited in Summit room. Danzo defended himself by proclaiming that he would have used any means necessary to unify the world under one command, much like First Hokage Hashirama intended. Danzo justified violence by saying that all of ninja world could not be unified by talks and deliberations. Akaktsuki would have destroyed the ninja world if they could. Gaara argued that if understanding and trusting in one another is lost only fear will remain.

Sasuke's location is revealed as ninjas dare to fight Sasuke. With lightning similar to ninja's Sasuke kills one ninja after the other showing no mercy. Karin notices that Sasuke's chakra is much bigger and colder than she ever knew Sasuke had. When all ninjas were dead Lord Raikage showed up promising to teach Sasuke the fear of the fury. Sasuke lost his cool and attacked by himself. Darui's Water style justu and lightning style emotion wave had deflected Sasuke. Flash Pillar of Shee's Lightning Illusion had followed. Jugo seemed afraid for Sasuke's life for a second when Sasuke reminded him that this is gengutsu. Suigetsu executioner's blade got sliced in half, but he saved Sasuke nonetheless. Shee is now after Karin as he needs to kill off Sensory-Type ninja.

Jugo goes berserk as the fight of Sasuke and Raikage continues. Lord Raikage pins Jugo to the wall when Sasuke uses Sharinghan. Raikage's nerve transmission and reaction speed are on par with Jugo's. Jugo took Raikage's blow and fires back. As Sasuke's team cleverly used each other's chakra to divert attention from one another, Shee looses his fight as well. Jugo gets kocky thinking he got Raikage when he gets a blow throwing him against the wall. At this moment Sasuke appears to face Raikage. How the fight continues we'll have to wait and see.

Chicago, Illinois Earthquake – An earthquake struck northern Illinois early morning on Wednesday, February 10, 2010. The quake area is about 50 miles west-northwest of downtown Chicago. It was originally reported as having a magnitude of 4.3, but the U.S. Geological Survery later downgraded it to magnitude 3.8. The earthquake hit just before 5:00 AM ET, with an epicenter about 3 miles.

Many people felt the quake and with the USGS reports coming from Illinois, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Iowa and Wisconsin. CNN said the quake shook several homes but there were no immediate reports of injuries or major damage. According to the U.S. Geological Survery, the earthquake in Illinois was mild compared to Haiti earthquake last month.

The switchboards had been lighting up with calls, but he said there were no immediate reports of any damage, Pat Gengler, spokesman for the Kane County sheriff said. “Right now the only reports we were getting were some people a little startled at 4 in the morning when their house started shaking,” Pat Gengler said. “We got a lot of snow out here and we had a little earthquake, so it’s been an interesting 12 hours,” he added.

Google broadband in the works

Google announced on the Official Google Blog today that Google Inc. is planning to build its own broadband network and offer service at competitive prices to selected areas across the country. I’ll tell you right now, if Google broadband is offered in my city, and it costs the same as what I’m using now, I will definitely sign up.
Google broadband will be “more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today,” says the Google blog. The fiber optic network will run at one gigabit per second. Wow, that will give a whole new meaning to “instant approval” for online payday loans. The plan is to build and test Google broadband by offering the service to 50,000 people, and eventually up to 500,000 people. My only question is, why stop there?
Google, broadband and beyond
Apparently Google plans to offer Google broadband to businesses as well as residences. The Google blog starts out:
Imagine sitting in a rural health clinic, streaming three-dimensional medical imaging over the web and discussing a unique condition with a specialist in New York.
The company also says Google broadband will be capable of downloading high definition movies in five minutes. Building Google broadband should be pretty easy for Google, considering it already has built its own fiber optic network “to connect its data centers, speed up search, and lower its cost of streaming billions of videos a month on YouTube,” according to TechCrunch.
How to get Google broadband
At this stage of the process, Google is waiting to hear from local governments and members of the public regarding interest in Google broadband. Google says all responses must be submitted through the Google Fiber for Communities web site before March 26.
It’s pretty easy; you just click the big, blue “get involved” button, then select the proper form, based on whether you’re a local government official or a community resident. The form asks questions about whether you represent an organization, why you think you should get Google broadband in your area and a few multiple choice questions about what’s currently available in your area.

In the March edition of Playboy Magazine, John Mayer made the following comments about dating Black women:

PLAYBOY: Do black women throw themselves at you?

MAYER: I don’t think I open myself to it. My dick is sort of like a white supremacist. I’ve got a Benetton heart and a fuckin’ David Duke cock. I’m going to start dating separately from my dick.

Personally, I’m not offended that John Mayer isn’t attracted to Black women. Like all people, he’s entitled to his preferences, even if they’re different than mine. I’m also not going to hastily throw the “racist” label at Mayer, who most likely thought that his “Black pass” (i.e. cultural insider status) allowed him to make edgy comments that cannot (and should not) be made by ordinary white artists. In his attempt at humor, Mayer nonetheless reinforces racist thinking and reduces White supremacy to a (bad) punch line. One of the affordances of white privilege is being able to say things that cause hurt to people of color, and then appeal to your “heart” (or hip-hop collaborations) as proof you’re not racist. Again, I’m not calling Mayer a racist –I don’t know him– but his comments were certainly racially irresponsible. Next time, John, just say “Everybody has their preferences. Black women haven’t been mine.” Then, no harm, no foul.

As far as Black people go, I worry that our outrage is also connected to our constant need for White approval. Why should we really care whether or not John Mayer, or any other White boy, wants to sleep with Black women? If anything, we should focus on the lack of self-love –another outgrowth of White supremacy– that often informs Black men’s decision to avoid Black women. (Imagine if more brothers had Marcus Garvey hearts and Malcom X penises!) Also, Black people should be more careful about the White artists to whom we ascribe “honorary Black” status. It always seems to come back to bite us on the ass. Remember Justin Timberlake?

KEARNEY, Neb. — Police have arrested a man suspected of taking people hostage at a southern Nebraska bank.

Television station KHAS-TV reports the man came out of the Wells Fargo Bank branch in Kearney and was taken into custody about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, more than two hours after the ordeal began.

A photo on the Kearney Hub newspaper’s Web site shows a man coming out of the bank with his hands in the air.

No shots had been reported during the hostage situation, but other details remain unclear.

A spokeswoman for Nebraska’s Wells Fargo branches, Angie Kaipust, said earlier Wednesday that there was a hostage situation at the Kearney branch. She says the bank is cooperating with authorities but declined to provide more details.

Kearney is about 185 miles west of Omaha.

Charlie Wilson Dies

Former US Congressman Charlie Wilson has died at age 76.

Wilson was a 12-term Member of the US House of Representatives representing Texas' 2nd District.

Wilson's strong advocacy of US support of mujahadeen in their quest to repel Soviet forces in Afghanistan were the subject of the book and movie "Charlie Wilson's War".

Wilson's adoption of the anti-Soviet crusade in Afghanistan became the CIA's largest covert operation and helped empower what are now the Afghan Taliban that American and allied forces are fighting today. After the Soviets withdrew, Wilson lamented the collapse of American interest in supporting the Afghan people as they tried to rebuild their society and lives.

Worldwide, Avatar has brought in $2,048,130,844 so far, while Titanic earned $1,843,201,268 total.

Tiger Woods slated to 'make a shock return' to upcoming golf tournament following sex rehab stint

Tiger Woods could be out of sex rehab and back on the links in two weeks, an Australian newspaper reported Wednesday.

Woods is "poised to make a shock return to competitive golf" in the upcoming Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona, according to the Herald Sun of Melbourne, which did not cite a source.

The top spokesman for the PGA Tour would not confirm the Herald Sun story.

"We have no comment," Ty Votaw said.

Still, if true, this would mark the first time Woods competed in a golf tournament since the sex scandal that ruined his good-guy reputation exploded around Thanksgiving.

Tiger won the Accenture tournament in 2003, 2004 and 2008.

But Accenture was one of the first corporations to dump Woods as a pitchman following revelations that the golfing great cheated on his wife with a bevy of babes.

After apologizing for his "transgressions," Woods announced he was taking a break from pro golf and trying to salvage his marriage to Elin Nordegren.

Recently, Woods was spotted at a sex addiction clinic in Mississippi.

Earlier, another golfing legend, Tom Watson, predicted that Woods would return "probably this year" in an interview with an NBC affiliate in Kansas City.

Meanwhile, kinky porn actress Joslyn James (real name Veronica Siwik-Daniels) was expected to dish later Wednesday on her "longterm, intimate relationship with Tiger Woods."

Sen.-elect Brown demands to be seated

Massachusetts Sen.-elect Scott Brown on Wednesday demanded to be seated immediately, saying that while he is set to be sworn in Feb. 11, "there are a number of votes scheduled prior to that date."

In a letter from his lawyers to Gov. Deval Patrick and Secretary of the Commonwealth William Galvin, Mr. Brown argues that the results of the special election in Massachusetts on Jan. 19 are not in doubt and he should be able to take the seat right away.

"We represent Senator-elect Scott Brown. We understand that the election returns from Massachusetts cities and towns were transmitted this morning to the State Secretary's Office and by the State Secretary to the Governor's Office. While Senator-elect Brown had tentatively planned to be sworn into office February 11, he has been advised that there are a number of votes scheduled prior to that date, For that reason, he wants certification to occur immediately. As he is the duly elected United States Senator from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, he is entitled to be seated now.

"Accordingly, on behalf of Senator-elect Brown, we request that the results of the special election January 19, 2010, be certified without delay and that a duplicate be provided me in hand no later than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2010, so we may deliver the original by hand to the Secretary of the United States Senate in time to allow Senator-elect Brown to be administered the oath of office by the Vice President tomorrow afternoon," wrote lawyer Daniel B. Winslow.

This was an easy call. Lane Kiffin and USC closed fast and is making a climb up the class rankings by landing five-starSeantrel Henderson. The 6-7, 295-pound Henderson, who is No. 8 in the ESPNU 150, is the nation's top OT and gives USC its second top 10 prospect, joining five-star WR Robert Woods, who is No. 7 in the 150.

Kiffin's former team, Tennessee, climbs into the top 10 as well thanks to a strong finish by coach Derek Dooley, who landed four-star OT James Stone and four-star WR Da'Rick Rogers. These players, plus Dooley's ability to keep early enrollees like four-star OT Ja'Wuan James and four-star QB Tyler Brayearned the Vols a top mark.

UCLA is doing well, thanks to the addition of DE Owamagbe Odighizuwa, who is No. 17 in the ESPNU 150 and the No. 2 DE in the nation, and four-star S Dietrich Riley, who is versatile and talented enough to play on either side of the ball. Rahm's apology accepted, at last

The Special Olympics is disputing the White House claim that its chairman, Tim Shriver, accepted Rahm Emanuel's apology for calling liberals "retarded."

Seeking to damp down the controversy over Rahm Emanuel's reported, months-old use of the word, a White House official yesterday told me and other reporters that Emanuel had called Special Olympics Chairman Tim Shriver to apologize.

"The apology was accepted," the official said yesterday.

The vice president for communications at the Special Olympics, Kirsten Seckler, told me that this account of the conversation is "inaccurate."

"Tim didn't accept his apology," she said. "Tim can't do that. He can't accept an apology on behalf of all people with disabilities."

Shriver had simply said, she said, that he was willing to continue the conversation with the chief of staff.

UPDATE: Seckler called back to say that Shriver had accepted the apology in that earlier conversation on his own behalf.

"The response from the White House implicated that Tim accepted the apology on behalf of all people with intellectual disabilities, and we want to make clear that he did not accept the apology on behalf of all people with intellectual disabilities," she said. "The way the spokesperson said it made it seem that he had accepted the apology on behalf of all people with intellectual disabilities, and we want to make clear that that’s not accurate."

Still, it seems that the original White House statement that he'd accepted the apology was an accurate report of the call.

UPDATE: Emanuel met Wednesday with six disability advocates. He "sincerely apologized," again, for using the word, promising to sign an online pledge to end the use of the word, the advocates said in a joint statement.

Emanuel also promised to "examine" Congressional legislation that would remove the word from federal law.

"We are thankful to Mr. Emanuel for meeting with us today and hearing our concerns," said the joint statement from the six advocates whom he met, led by Shriver.

"Our community has earned the right to be respected instead of ridiculed. We have suffered injustice for generations and we are demanding that it end," the said in the statement. "This is another small step on the road to a country that accepts the gifts of all."

UPDATE: Seckler says that, today, the leaders did accept Emanuel's apology: "All six of the advocates, including Tim Shriver, accepted Rahm Emanuel’s apology on their own behalf and on behalf of the organizations they represent."

Sichuan buttons: The flowers that electrocute your mouth

What is it?

The Sichuan button is a small, yellow flower bud that, when eaten, creates a strong tingling sensation in the mouth -- not unlike biting down on an iPhone -- and a sudden increase in salivation. The active ingredient is spilanthol, a chemical that’s used in food manufacturing and candies (to counteract astringents, which dry out the mouth, and to create the sensation of "freshness"). The full Sichuan button experience comes in three stages: first, a grassy taste, followed by a tingling and numbing sensation, then salivation, and, finally a fresh, clean finish. (It's usually broken up into smaller pieces in cooking.)

Clearly, having something feel like it’s electrocuting your mouth is the highlight of Sichuan button consumption, and, as one blogger described it, "the closest that anybody could compare was putting a 9V battery on your tongue." The Washington Post has more demurely called its taste a "mix of Altoids and Tellicherry."

Where does it come from?

The button comes from the acmella oleracea plant (also known as para cress or, more adorably, the "toothache plant"). It’s long been used for flavoring and health reasons in South America, Africa and Asia. Indian manufacturers use the buttons to flavor chewing tobacco, for example, while others use its numbing qualities to help relieve toothaches and stomach ailments, and some believe it can help treat blood parasites. (The bud is unrelated to the Sichuan peppercorn, which was long banned in the U.S.)

Koppert Cress, a Dutch micro-vegetable company, helped pitch the button to American high-end restaurants when it opened its first American greenhouse in 2006. In the past two years it’s been gaining buzz among chefs and mixologists, who use it to create a carbonation-like effect in cocktails (especially those with a citrus flavor), and add snap to sauces, ice cream or even chocolates. It also works as a palate cleanser between meals. It's since popped up on NPR and in the Culinary Institute of America alumni magazine (along with the Washington Post).

Who’s eating it?

The appeal of the buttons (mostly because they're very hard to find in the U.S.) remains largely confined to high-end chefs. In 2006, chef Jeff Ramsey used the buttons in his winning entry into the Seven Sushi Samurai contest. Among restaurants that have caught button fever: The East Coast Haru Japanese restaurant group (which has used it in cocktails), Poste in Washington, D.C. (which has used it in a halibut sauce), and Ferran Adrià’s El Bulli restaurant in Spain (which serves Sichuan button-infused milk). Marc Forgione, the chef at Tribeca’s creatively named Marc Forgione (formerly Forge), has even posted a Facebook video showing his love for the buttons.

Longevity ranking: 7 (out of 10)

Once their party-trick novelty has worn off, Sichuan buttons will probably lose their appeal -- but given that they’ve yet to trickle down to American grocery stores, much less home kitchens, that’s probably a long way off.

German man saved on frozen sea by webcam spotter

BERLIN – Watch the sunset, save a life.

A woman admiring the sunset on a tourist webcam in northern Germany spotted a man who was lost on the frozen North Sea and probably saved his life by alerting authorities, police said Wednesday.

The man had climbed over pack ice off the coast to photograph a sunset near the town of St. Peter-Ording, then became disoriented on the ice, Husum police spokeswoman Kristin Stielow said.

Unable to locate the beach, the man began using his camera to flash for help. That got the attention of a woman hundreds of miles (kilometers) away in southern Germany who was watching the sunset over the sea on her computer.

The woman contacted police, who located the man's signals and guided him into shore by flashing their car lights. Officiers then lectured him on the dangers of trekking on the ice.

Police would not identify the man or the woman who spotted him. Stielow said he was a German tourist in his forties.

She said locals are well aware of the risk of disorientation as darkness falls and the beach becomes hard to identify, but vivid sunsets over frozen landscapes often draw people away from the shore.

At the time the man lost his bearings, the air temperature was below freezing. He could have frozen to death or fallen through the ice, Stielow added.

St. Peter-Ording is popular tourist destination known for its beaches and sailing, and the local tourism board runs a Web site with a webcam. The board, however, said images from the webcam are routinely erased and the dramatic flashes from the man's camera were not saved before the story came to light.

The March issue of Architectural Digest has a first look at Jennifer Aniston's Beverly Hills mansion (following an extensive, two-and-a-half year interior renovation). Among the many design modifications, the actress's master bath is now more conducive to single life than coupledom:

"[The house] originally had his-and-hers baths, but Aniston has turned the 'his' into a spa bath with a soaking tub," the magazine reports. The article later quotes Aniston saying her new home is "like a big hug" and it "vibrates with the love that created it."

This all sounds inviting for one, but it may not be ideal for prospective romantic partners. Last year, the 41-year-old's then-beau John Mayer described her one-story dwelling as rather intimidating: "There is no normal thing in the Aniston house," he told Ellen on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." "You won't find a light switch. The light switch is not antiquated—there is a six-button light panel. It does everything. The top button is 'on,' and the button right below that one seems to be an air horn, so in the middle of the night it's very difficult."

Complex and high-tech as it may be, Aniston's new home was not meant to be lonesome. The Zen-inspired space was built with entertaining in mind, featuring an expansive kitchen and a dining room that seats 24, along with a 1920s Thai gong that summons diners. The actress has already hosted several A-list parties, including a housewarming bash and a holiday party in December for 100+ guests, among them celeb pals Courteney Cox and Laura Dern.

Gates Tries to Get F-35 Program Back on Course

The Joint Strike Fighter was supposed to be the program that broke the mold, proof that the Pentagon could build something affordable, dependable and without much drama.

But rather than being the Chevrolet of the skies, as it was once billed, the fighter plane, also called the F-35, has turned into the Pentagon’s biggest budget-buster. And with worries growing that the rise in costs could overwhelm other programs, Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates fired the general in charge this week and said he would withhold $614 million in fees from the prime contractor, Lockheed Martin.

The decision was an embarrassment for Lockheed Martin, the nation’s largest military contractor, which could eventually draw at least a quarter of its sales from the F-35. But Pentagon officials said they wanted to make sure they avoided the kind of death spiral that had caused so many other weapons programs to collapse.

The Air Force, the Navy and the Marines are planning to buy more than 2,400 of the planes. But any delays could force them to spend billions of dollars on less advanced fighters to avoid a shortfall. That, in turn, would reduce their orders for the F-35, driving up the price for each plane and forcing them to cut orders further.

The main problem, some analysts say, is that even with recent improvements in acquisition practices, the military persists in buying new weapons systems before all the kinks are worked out.

At the Pentagon’s behest, Lockheed Martin has already started building production models of the F-35, even though only 2 percent of the flight test program has been completed. “Unless they convert the program to a fly-before-you-buy approach, they will continue to have pain,” said Winslow T. Wheeler, an analyst for the Center for Defense Information in Washington.

But Pentagon officials said that given the rapid changes in technology, they could not afford to take such a gradual approach without systems becoming outdated before they rolled off the line. Lockheed Martin executives said that they had gotten the message about picking up the pace, and that they believed they would be able to start delivering the planes faster than the government now projects.

“They have been very clear that they intend to hold us to more aggressive standards, and we intend to perform to those,” Daniel J. Crowley, one of Lockheed Martin’s project managers, told reporters on Tuesday.

Mr. Crowley acknowledged that the program, which has been adjusted several times, was running six months behind the latest schedule. But he said that after building the first few planes, the company had been able to sharply reduce how much time and money each one required. And that has given it more confidence that it can get back on track.

Mr. Gates also said on Monday that he knew of “no insurmountable problems, technological or otherwise, with the F-35.” But he added a year to the development phase of the program, and slowed plans to increase production, to give the company a chance to catch up.

Still, that solution is basically a gamble that the company will do better. The program, which is by far the Pentagon’s largest, is expected to cost nearly $300 billion if all of the 2,456 planes are purchased in the next 25 years. Eight allied nations have also invested in the program and could buy hundreds of additional planes.

Some senators sounded skeptical in questioning Mr. Gates at a hearing on Tuesday. “I’m still concerned about whether the services will get the J.S.F. when they need them,” said Senator John McCain, Republican from Arizona, referring to the plane.

Other senators criticized Mr. Gates, who promoted the coming of the F-35 as a reason to kill the more costly F-22 fighter program last summer, for not having a handle on the problems sooner.

Many of the concerns were outlined in a report by a special Pentagon assessment team in late 2008. Mr. Gates said at the hearing on Tuesday that he did not recall that report. He said he had intervened now to try to head off the dire projections in a similar assessment completed in the fall.

That study found that the development of the plane could be delayed by two and a half years and cost an extra $16.6 billion if no changes were made. Mr. Gates has also said that he replaced the head of the program, Maj. Gen. David R. Heinz of the Marine Corps, to show that officials would be held accountable “when things go wrong.”

When the Pentagon began thinking about the F-35 in the mid-1990s, the Pentagon was building the F-22, the world’s stealthiest fighter, for aerial dogfights, and it expected to buy 650 to 750 of them. The F-35, which also has stealth features to avoid radar, was meant to focus more on attacking ground targets. Creating three versions with a similar core — one each for the Air Force, the Navy and the Marines — was supposed to make it more affordable.

But while delays and overruns pushed the cost of the F-22 so high that only 187 are being built, the projected costs of the F-35 program have also risen to $298.8 billion from an early estimate of about $200 billion.

Counting all the development costs, each F-35 is now projected to cost about $122 million compared with about $350 million for each F-22. Another concern is that additional problems often appear in flight testing. And a recent Navy study concluded that the F-35 could be significantly more expensive to operate than older fighters.

But Mr. Crowley, one of Lockheed Martin’s top managers on the project, said the company had greatly reduced the parts shortages that delayed the first planes. He said the company was talking to the Pentagon about adding another plane to the flight test program, and it was much closer to finishing sensitive systems, like the software that operates the plane and its sensors, than it was at a similar stage on the F-22.

He added that it was “our intent to outperform” projections for the program, enabling the government to buy more planes than it expected to over the next few years.

Other industry officials said they had heard that Mr. Gates was likely to name Vice Adm. David J. Venlet, commander of the Naval Air Systems Command, to succeed General Heinz in overseeing the program. And given that Mr. Gates has had to backtrack from his praise for the program, he now has even more on the line in holding it together.

Well, Punxsutawney Phil ladled another six weeks of winter onto us this morning. But we can't take that too hard; last time he predicted an early spring, 2007, we got hit with that huge Valentine's Day snowstorm two weeks later. It's whatcha get for taking your prognostications from an oversized rodent. But the great thing about Groundhog Day is the excuse it provides to, once again, watch the eponymously named classic film, Groundhog Day.

Some of Bill Murray's finest work, the film is one part comedy and one part existentialism. It has been called "one of the most spiritual films of all time." From a 2004 story in the UK's Independent:

"At first I would get mail saying, 'Oh, you must be a Christian because the movie so beautifully expresses Christian belief'," the film's director Harold Ramis recently told The New York Times. Justin Mentell, “Boston Legal” Actor, Dies

Justin Mentell, an actor best known for his role on the now-defunct TV drama Boston Legal, has died, The Wisconsin State-Journal said Tuesday. Officials with The Iowa County, Wisconsin Sheriff’s Department say Mentell, 27, was killed early Monday, after his SUV went down an embankment off Highway 39 near Blanchardville and plowed into two trees.

The crash was reported by a passerby around 8:30 AM. Police says Mentell — a former member of the US Junior National Speedskating team — wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

Mentell appeared in the 1999 Disney movie G-Force before going on to appear alongside William Shatner and James Spader on Boston Legal from 2005-2006.
